Pros: optional final
Helpful during office hours, but makes you feel stupid for not knowing the answer to the question you're asking.

PHY 101 is a really easy class to satisfy general science requirements & Adams is a good professor to take it with. Adams did some pretty cool demonstrations in class & unlike most physics professors he speaks clear english!

This guy is insanely smart and always available for help outside of class. Don't try to ask difficult questions during class or he'll shoot you down saying "I don't want to answer that right now." If needed ask it after class. He has office hours everyday which you should try to go to at least once a week. Even after office hours are over, he'll sometimes have a meeting to go to, and he'll let us stay in the room, and peak in now and then to see if there are any questions. This is a freakishly hard class, but with his help you can get through it. If you're an EEE major or want a challenge, I highly recommend this class. It is difficult material which he goes very in depth into, but he teaches so well that it makes it much easier. Lecture is a necessity; a rarity in the physics department. Oh yeah, and mastering physics is assigned for every lecture, a few questions due 3 times a week. Grades are based entirely on a curve b/c avg test grades are about 50%. Overall, this guy is awesome.
