Rarely attended class. Just do the research credits and the super simple labs. I got two D's on the exams and still ended with C without knowing a lot of information. B is not difficult at all and an A is possible.

The exams are online but are very difficult because it is based on menial facts about authors rather than concepts. Dr. Mae is friendly and with a little prompting she is accommodating but there is no opportunity to discuss things in class because she only makes time for her own lecture content. There are better psych electives available, take those.

Rarely went to class and squeaked by with a B (she only gives whole letter grades). If you take great notes, and make flash cards you'll do just fine. Go to class and pay attention and its an simple A.

Absolutely liked this class, found it to be very fascinating. Dr. Mae made this class very simple to understand. Her exams are strictly from the study guide, so make sure you take great notes and complete the study guide. This class is a simple A, as long as you apply yourself.

LOVED THIS CLASS! It was so fascinating! If you study the way she suggests, you'll get an A. The exams were multiple choice.

Mae REALLY loves Psychology, as you can tell through her courses. As long as you show up to class, take notes on the slides, and study them, you can easily get an A in the class.

take her class. its annoying but simple. you need 6 research credits so that gets in the way of studying for other courses but once you do it the class is simple. she says to read book but as long as you show up to class and copy down the slides you don't need to. the exams are simple four 50 question multiple choice. as long as you study youll pass

Overall great teacher. She friendlya treats you like a 7 year old but she's honestly really friendly & accommodating. Her exams are super straightforward so if you do the study guides and go to class you'll be fine! At first the course is dull but it gets fascinating after the first couple of chapters. Easy A if you do the work required.

Good info, fascinating! Teacher was a little slow on delivery of information, class seemed longer than actually was. Class was not too difficult, and enjoyable. 1 assignment, 4 exams. Dr. Mae was friendly 1-on-1 but made womanly-"assertive" comments in class. Offensive. Tests were simple if completed study guide, & study! Would take her class again tho

She absolutely loves psychology and it's simple to tell. However, the class does get a little tough at times. But if you attend courses and study the notes that she gives you, you should be just fine.

DO NOT BUY THE BOOK.(she's the author) she will tell you it's mandatory with a price of $80, whereas you can just use someone else's. But in my case, i didn't use the book AT ALL. I went to less than 2 courses besides those exams, still got an A. there's notes online so you don't need to waste 3 hours in lecture every week. DO the extra credits.

I had Prof. Mae for Psy101. She is probably the greaexam prof. I've had. She is very passionate about the subject which makes it more fascinating for us. The exams are short, simple, and follow Mae's provided study guides. You do NOT need to get the textbook if you plan on attending class, I didn't even open mine.

Dr. Mae is a great prof. who is clearly passionate about what she is teaching. Lots of memorization for Media Madness (authors, etc.) but it was an engaging elective so I'd definitely recommend it!

This lady is a little silly but honestly this class was a piece of cake. If you need psych as a pre-req take it from her for sure. Go to class every day, write down the definitions to all the terms she wants you to know, read them over a couple of times before the exam, and bam you've got an A in the bag.

Dr. Mae is one of the worst prof.s at ASU. She courses the class as if they're still in elementary school. While it's not a difficult class, you have to attend and listen to get some questions on the exams but it's almost unbearable to hear her speak for an hour and a half. You literally learn nothing. Take any other prof..

Heard great things about Dr. Mae so decided to take her class and I have to say I'm underwhelmed. She's friendlya neurotic, her study guides aren't very accommodating, and what should be an fascinating class is just... not. She uses her own version of the textbook so you can't find it used or an older edition.

Dr. Mae is an amazing prof.. Her enthusiasm in teaching is so obvious and it helps to keep students engaged. I do recommend attending as the information is more easily obtained, and the class was very fascinating which made it simple to attend. Definitely recommend Dr. Mae and this course.

My second class with Dr. Mae, this class was basically review of 101. She does a lot of activities and asks questions to keep the class engaged. Her powerpoints follow almost word-for-word her study guides. (I suggest printing off the study guide and taking notes on that).

Class is really simple. Show up to the courses, take the notes on the slides she provides online/in the book. Take advantage of the extra credit opportunities. Learned a lot from the class, Dr. Mae is very enthusiastic about what she teaches. Easy A so long as you go to the courses and study for the exams.
